Thanks to Jess over at Scrapbook Ideas we have a giveaway for EVERYONE today… it’s some bloomin’ paper for you digi-scrappers out there, or for the ones like me that just collect this stuff but don’t actually digi-scrap LOL :o)

(Just click on the preview below, wait for the file to load, then click ‘Download File’)

As for another giveaway today… I have a challenge for you all. I would love to see you digi-scrap a card, layout or an altered item with Jess’ free gift.

When you are finished making it, post a pic on your blog and link back here so we can all see :o) The winner will get their choice of one digi-scrap kit from the Scrap Princess. Have fun with the challenge ladies.

I will even try to make something (posted here) although I am not a digi-scrapper :o) See you soon.

My thing this week is a new business… A SCRAPPBOOKING KIT BUSINESS!  The name of it is Haute Artist - Haute is a french word for fashionable or high class.  They are not quite up and running yet as far as the site for the kits goes, but (this is part I am excited to tell you about)…

Their blog is up and running!  And they are having a weekly giveaway this month!  So go on over there and leave a couple comments to enter in the giveaways.  Also if you see a kit on their blog that you would like, let them know now so they can save you one… I just adore the travel word book kit!!!  -  Best I’ve seen yet!

Oh, and don’t forget to spread the love (the linky love) if you like Haute Artist, let others know on your blog as well… let’s get their name out there and get this new business on their feet ladies.

Have a great day and God Bless!

… I updated my Scrappin’ Sunday post with my scanned in layouts.

I also added scans of the sketches that go with them.

Like this one below…

But I also forgot to mention this photo and how I altered the ugly carseat warning to say something much cuter!  Take a look…

I am sooo sooo tired after my first overnighter crop!  I left on Friday and came back this morning before church.  We stayed up till about midnight the first night and probably two last night (I barely remember I’m so tired)!  PS. that is the answer to this week’s Bonus Question.  (Did you go anywhere or make anything special yesterday for National Scrapbooking Day? - if you wanna see some of the action check my recent posts :o)

I took a nap today so I am still up now, but I will have to scan my TA-DA layouts for you tomorrow :o)  I only got two done, but I really like them.  I added the sketches as a part of the bonus question below.

And a Bonus Question I missed from February 3rd: Do you sketch your ideas or do you just put things together as you go?  I totally used to put things together as I go, and I still will sometimes depending on the situation, but my time is spent best at crops when I have a plan!  So I will pick my pictures (as shared last Sunday) then I will make a sketch (pictured above with the adjoining layouts), re-size them accordingly and send them to the printers like THIS.

So when I get to the crop all I have to do is cut the white off my photos, pick my paper and embellishments and start laying it all out!  Much more fun and it uses less brain cells when I am cropping with my friends :o)

Here is my rolling list of TO-DOs…  :o)

  1. Yes - I STILL have to put together my Rusty Pickle make-n-take
  2. meet with a new client for her wedding album
  3. plan a display album for a friend
  4. and a simple mother’s day album for my mom

Yes, I am still awake, and so is my baby because she wants to see all that is going on.  I just wanted to share the new technique I learned….  then go to bed… here you go….

We just cut the scallops by hand with scissors (hence the freestylin’) then we punched the holes with our crop-a-diles in two different sizes.

I am still having fun :o)  A little frustrated with my lack of tools and supplies since I am not home with all my stuff, but everyone is so sweet to share… I am even learning new a couple new techniques… I’ll share that later tonight :o)  Look at this now…

I’m Scrapbooking! - For National Scrapbook Day at my sister’s house.  I am sooo happy to have gotten 1 layout done!  Yes, just one!  I am totally slow and I brought my baby with me :o)  I’ll keep sharing though-out the day.

Please comment here to let me know what you did for National Scrapbook Day, I would love to see if you have a link to it on your blog also  :o)

TA-DA… Yes I got some of my to-dos done from last week - are you proud?

Here are my favorite photos of JJ’s 2nd year…

And here are my favorite’s of B.Boy’s 1st year…

If you want to see the photos chosen for my daughter’s 1st year CLICK HERE, and if you want to see the layouts that became of them CLICK HERE.

And here is my running TO-DO list that I will update through the week until next week!  (Next week will be exciting for Scrappin’ Sunday because it is National Scrapbook Day next weekend!!! - and I am going to my sister’s house for my first overnight crop!!!)

  1. put together my Rusty Pickle make-n-take for National SB Day
  2. finish an engagement invitation for a family member
  3. plan layouts with JJ & B.Boy’s pics and get the photos printed
  4. meet with a new client for her wedding album
  5. plan a display album for a friend
  6. and a simple mother’s day album for my mom

I’ve decided to keep a rolling list from now on of things I would like to get done scrap-wise to keep myself accountable.  And what I mean by rolling list a lot of it will probably ”roll” on for a couple weeks until it gets crossed off :o)

  •  Now onto this week’s Bonus Question: Do you buy patterned paper just because you like it, or because you have something specific in mind?
    • I almost always have something specific in mind!  Like this week I will go out and use my free $20 at my local scrapbook store knowing all of the layouts I have planned for this weekend.  I will need girlie paper, boy paper, and baby paper, I will also have specific colors and patterns in mind knowing the photos.
    • Of coarse there are always those times that I know I will use cute paper like at THIS LINK - pages 13, 26-29, 41, 43 - though I don’t buy those right away unless they stay on my “like” list for a while.
  • And here’s a Bonus Question I missed from week 6: Do you ever find yourself in a position where your paper crafts aren’t fun at the moment, but you feel obligated to finish them?
    • YES!  OH YES - TOTALLY!  This was happening to me just last weekend before my monthly crop.  I was even having the desire to give up completely and donate all my product away!  Sometimes it just feels like a waste of time or money, but I often just take this as a lie from the enemy because I KNOW God uses my scrapbooking to bless others and to grow me, I also get great fellowship when I craft with my Christian friends!  So, yes I press-on and am always blessed in the end :o)

Hey ladies joining me from the Sunday Scrappin’ Hub, nice to see you here.

Well my TA-DAs, hum?  I got some of my to-do’s done from last week…

  • I cleaned up my scrap space AGAIN (pics above)… I feel like I just did this!
  • I entered one of my orders for National Scrapbook Day (which I am totally excited about because from the product I ordered they decided to match that amount in promotional products for giveaways!)
  • I also downloaded some new fonts from Allie Hoopes to play with…
  • and a made a rolling “email me button” with my families pics for my blog (featuring a couple of those fonts).
    • Do you think a custom button like that would be a good giveaway for the upcoming party?

My TO-DO for this week will be… to put together my Rusty Pickle tutorial for the Scrapbooking Blog Party.  I think that’ll be it since I have B.Boy’s birthday party coming up next weekend.

Now for this week’s Bonus Question: What kind of projects do you do the most often?  Lately I have had a lot of altered projects, if you check my Scrappin’ Sunday page you will see that.

And Here’s a Bonus Question I missed from week 4:  Share a favorite tip or technique that you’ve learned recently…  Well I shared a tutorial for my most favorite technique last week… distressing.  Check it out and enjoy.

Happy Scrapping!

Hey!  I am actually joining this Sunday!  I didn’t really get a lot done to share, and I didn’t get my to-dos done from 3 weeks ago, but with all that I am tackling lately I am still happy.

My TA-DAs are a small altered pail for my friend’s baby shower, and a slightly altered (already cute to start with) prayer journal.

The pics of my paint can are a little different this time because I actually forgot to take them, so my friend took them for me, what do ya think?  F.Y.I.  If you like the distressed look on the papers I will be sharing a step by step tutorial sometime this week :o)

This is the notebook or prayer journal my friend and Bible Study leader gave me for our new Beth Moore Study Breaking Free.  She bought such a cute one too start with that I couldn’t resist finding more ribbon (that I already own) and tying it to the spiral binding!

PS.  This notebook is made by u:create and was designed by Jacqueline Savage McFee!

Looksie here….

My TO-DOs would be to clean up my scrap space and enter orders with S.E.I.Close to My HeartRogers and Stampendous for National SB Day… losts of work for me at home with my 3 little ones!

Which brings me to This week’s Bonus Question: What inspires you to sit down and craft?  My answer would have to be the fact that I am usually doing it for someone else.  (Hence the Scrapping Servant :o)  I own my own Business Scrapping for others and like to make gifts on the side for friends and family.  I especially like to think that my scrapbooks are made knowing that my children will cherish them someday.

REMEMBER:  A part of my Scrapping Servant-hood this week will be to share a tutorial on distressing paper in 4 different ways!  Don’t miss it.
