My son’s first night in his twin bed! We took my daughter’s bunkbed apart and put the top bunk where his crib was (next to her). I figured he was ready since he was climbing into the top bunk anyway… I also figured it is more safe to fall from this far than to fall from playing on the top bunk.
Now I just need to work on the bedding choices to make it more boy/girl room friendly… I think I really like this monkey set from Target… it will match the wood of the bed and the blue on the walls, what do you think?

That bedding looks perfect to me. Love the grown-up stripes with the little-boy monkeys. And he looks thrilled to be there in his big-boy bed!

wow carolyn! he sure has changed since I saw him last. he’s so beautiful! he looks a lot more like his dad in these photos and less like Matty.

Well he looks really happy in that bed! My son (3) is still in a toddler bed. I just need to find a twin bed for him. I’ll really need to move on that since he’s been sleeping in a twin at my parent’s house, he’ll know the difference now. Your little boy is so cute! And I love the monkey bedding - adorable!

It’s bittersweet when you move them to their own bed. But it’s great. I like that bedding, it’s really cute!
